Last Minute Tips

Ready for some sneak peeks of what's waiting for you at  our spring show?

But first, let's talk about the heavy rain forecast for Friday.
It's going to be wet.   It's going to be muddy.   It may be slippery in spots, and because it's a barn out in the country, it's in a field, not a paved parking lot,
(and isn't that just what makes it all so dang charming?),
so we ask that you use extreme caution when walking on the grounds.

We also ask that you bring your patience with you.   Friday morning is always the busiest time of the show, so if you don't like crowds, or have to get to work fast, please consider visiting us a little later in the day or either Saturday or Sunday.
(True fact:   we have some customers who come every day!!  Seriously!  How great is that!?)

Also remember, that as much as we love babies, toddlers and small children, Friday morning is not the time to bring them to The Barn.   It's too crowded for strollers and is overwhelming for the little ones, so in order to make it the most pleasant experience possible for everyone, please plan accordingly.

Additional Parking Info

We will have parking attendants at the entrance to the Barn driveway, in the parking lot and at our satellite parking location, which is located just down the street from The Barn on Bottner Road.  If the main lot is full you will be directed to the satellite lot, which is on the property of one of our generous neighbors who allows us to use his property for overflow parking.  Please respect our neighbors, and do not park on their lawns or use their driveways.  We host three shows a year and they are so patient and kind to put up with the extra traffic and people on the street and so we ask for your help in respecting their property.    If you are directed to the satellite lot, we have a complementary shuttle van that will pick you up and bring you right to the entrance of The Barn, and then you can just climb out and shop away.   When you're finished, the shuttle will take you right back to your car.  How easy is that?

Everything in The Barn has a price tag.   If you find something you would like to purchase, and it is a small item, i.e., a lamp, book, candle, etc., please pick it up, DO NOT REMOVE THE TAG, carry it with you or hand it to one of us and we'll start a pile for you on our hold table.

If you find a piece of furniture, and are 100% sure you want it, please stand by it, flag one of us down (the crew will be wearing black aprons), and we will help you pull the tag.   Items are not considered SOLD until they have been paid for.   If you change your mind, please give the tag back to a crew member so we can re-tag it.

Items with tags pulled and not paid for within one hour will be returned to stock and re-tagged, unless you have notified a crew member you are still shopping.   We have three days to sell a barn and tent full of awesome finds, and so we need to make sure everything is tagged.   (Thank you in advance for your help!)

If you find something you would like to purchase,
please make sure you love it, because

If you find something you love,
(and we hope you do!),
we accept cash, checks with proper
identification and Visa/MasterCard.
Credit Card Policy:
If you would like to use a credit card you are welcome to with a minimum purchase of $25.00.

Now lets talk about the checkout line.   So we can get you in/out as quickly as possible, we ask that you please enter the line on the back side of the main barn and you will be directed to one of the checkout lines.  We will have a line expeditor who will direct you to a cashier in accordance with how you would like to pay for your purchases - cash, check, credit card.

If you're driving a Smart Car and fall in love with a big dresser, you can always borrow a friend's truck and pick it up later, or inquire about delivery, which we offer at reasonable rates.   Please keep in mind, all deliveries are made after the show is over.

The Barn Crew and our volunteers will all be wearing black aprons, so if you need some help, have a question, or just want to tell us how much you love The Barn ;) - please let us know.   We're here to serve you, and will do whatever we can to make sure your visit to The Barn is an awesome one!

Have fun!  We're more than a shop, we're a show, it's an experience, and we hope you enjoy all of the vignettes, have some free coffee and cookies, search for the perfect authentic finds for your home, and enjoy your visit to The Barn.
